MacKenzie graduated from Bates College where she majored in Psychology and double minored in Japanese and Economics. After graduation, she moved to Japan spending two years teaching English to elementary students in rural Akita and founding a read-aloud library program called Alphabet Soup. Her original plan being to remain in International Education, she returned to the states and worked as an International Admissions coordinator before (lucky her!) joining the CFW team. She’s found that helping candidates navigate their careers (and the hiring market) was exactly the kind of work she’d been looking for.
Outside of the office MacKenzie can be found in her tiny NY kitchen whipping up tasty dishes, or dragging her friends to some new Japanese spot she’s just discovered. A self-proclaimed bibliophile, she also loves curling up in bed with a good book.
“I’ve always enjoyed connecting with people through their stories, and what is a career, but part of someone’s larger narrative? I love knowing that at CFW I’m working for our candidates just as much as for our clients—ensuring that what comes next builds on what came before, and is a coherent, meaningful, and strategic next chapter in their story.”
